Presenters:

Andrew Chalfant, AB'06
Engineer, Facebook
I was a true believer in the academic bent of U Chicago, and so graduated with a political science degree and no firm idea of what to do with myself after graduation. I eventually abandoned my default plans, becoming an ex-future-lawyer, and applied myself to learning all things computers. I have now been at Facebook for nearly five years working as an engineer on high scale infrastructure; including data systems, ads backends, and most recently messaging and real time infrastructure.

Jeffrey Dean, AB'89
Associate General Counsel, AMAZON
Jeffrey H. Dean is Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property Litigation and Licensing at Amazon.com, Inc. Mr. Dean is a 1989 alum of the College where he concentrated in Fundamentals: Issues and Texts. While at the College, Mr. Dean was a Junior Fellow of the John M. Olin Center for Inquiry into the Theory and Practice of Democracy where he studied with Allan Bloom. Mr. Dean is also a 1992 alum of the Harvard Law School.

Emily Lundell, AB'08 Product Manager, MICROSOFT
Emily Lundell graduated from the College in 2008 with a degree in International Studies. Emily started her career in International Development working in DC with an international NGO. After working in the field for a few years, she decided to transition to tech. She moved to Seattle to work at a start-up. Now, after a four year stint at Amazon, she is  at Microsoft. She works as a product manager with engineering and design teams managing new features and improvements for Microsoft's Office 365 customers.

Alison Nickum, AB'00 MBA'06 Head of Real Estate, Amazon.com, Inc
Real Estate, Amazon Campus (opening locations on or near college campuses)
